Control & Protection Schemes

For Holfeld plastics we completely constructed a new protection and control scheme at Shelton Abbey 110kV Sub-Station in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The project included for all interfacing signals to and from Eirgrid to allow the station to continue to be connected to the grid at 110kV.

Testing & Commissioning

Our Commissioning team have worked some of the countries most intensive projects in this sector and are well equipped to handle what ever project comes our way. Further to their knowledge and experience our pre-commissioners and commissioners have at their disposal one of widest ranges of testing and commissioning equipment available. The equipment are wholly owned by O’Hara Engineering Services and allows us to offer client an unrivalled service in this sector.

IEC61850 Goose

We introduced a new site-wide protection and control scheme at University College Hospital Galway. The system introduced was based on communications IEC 61850(Goose messaging) future proofing the protection scheme whilst using the existing site switchgear.

Customer Care

From inception to long term efficiency of an electrical system the customers needs are given first priority. Our Site based or “on the road” technical staff are all site experienced, standard based electricians with years of experience in relation to medium & high voltage installations. They are available to all of our customers on the telephone and will be able to meet the client’s staff on site on appointment. Further to this we provide an on call service to our maintenance clients, 365 days a year.
